Events
An event is Polymarket’s way of grouping related yes/no markets together. A presidential election event might contain one market per candidate; a sports event might group game-winner and over/under markets. Events are surfaced on the Markets tab as expandable groupings, and the event detail page gives you a dedicated view with live prices, stat cards, and inline trading across all markets in the event.
Navigating to an event
You can reach an event detail page from the Markets tab: multi-market events show as expandable parent rows. Hover over the event row and click the external-link icon to open the event detail page in a new tab.
Event Detail Page
The event detail page gives you a single view of everything happening across all markets in an event.
Header
At the top:
- Event title
- Live badge when the WebSocket connection is active and prices are streaming
- Direct link to view the event on Polymarket
- AI Analysis button to run an AI analysis on the entire event
- Share button to mint a public share link (see Social Sharing)

Stat cards
Three summary cards across the top:
| Card | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Markets | Total number of markets in this event |
| Total Volume | Combined trading volume across all markets |
| Total Liquidity | Combined order book depth across all markets |
Markets table
Below the stat cards, all markets in the event are listed in a table:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Market | The market question. Click the row to expand the inline trading panel. |
| Last Price | Live outcome prices (YES/NO) updated via WebSocket. Price changes flash briefly. |
| Liquidity | Current order book depth |
| Volume | Total trading volume |
| Status | Active or Inactive |
| Ends | Market resolution deadline in ET |
| Last Active | Time since the most recent trade |
Hover actions
Hover over any market row to see quick-action icons:
- Arrow: navigate to the full market detail page
- External link: open the market detail page in a new tab
- AI Analysis: run an AI analysis on that specific market
Inline trading panel
Click any market row to expand it. The expanded panel shows live outcome prices with bid/ask, the order book, and (if you have a Discretionary Trading automation configured) buy/sell controls. Click the row again to collapse it.
Description
If the event has a description, it appears below the markets table in a collapsible block. Long descriptions are truncated with a “more” link to expand.
AI Analysis on events
You can run an AI analysis on an entire event (not just individual markets). The analysis evaluates all markets in the event and produces recommendations for each. This is useful when you want a single assessment across a multi-market event rather than analyzing each market separately.
Click the AI Analysis button in the event header, or navigate to the AI Analysis tab and select an event. See AI Analysis for details on modes, output, and sharing.
